Really good NY style pizza. A touch pricey. This is outside of ours friend's place... super fast. Placed the order around 5p, got it at the door at 5:20p.

Eggplant parm sub is unreal. Pizza is excellent. Flat breads excellent. Wings are good. They deliver. Not a good atmosphere to dine in, so take it home, or deliver. Food is great. Pricing a little high, but worth it:-)

This is just one of Vito's four area locations. It's not much, just a strip mall hole in the wall of a place, but clean, a couple of outside umbrella tables, a look out the window eating counter and around six inside four seat dining tables. The staff is super friendly and accommodating in every way. The prices are more than reasonable, the serving portions large on the selections wide ranging. They have 9 appetizers including calamari and wings, 7 salads, some 21 pizzas plus varying choices to create your own, a good selection of "Hot Heroes," specialty sandwiches along with specialties of their own, lunch specials and around 10 Italian dinner specials including a veal parmigiana and a veal/pepper parmigiana. When I'm here I usually go for the veal and pepper parmigiana. The portions served are big size and come with three, sometimes four garlic rolls plus spaghetti. Both the dinner and lunch portions are the same and priced at $10.99 which to me is a pretty good bargain not only for the size of the serving but also for its quality, taste and flavor. Mind you, nothing to overly wow about as Vito's is just a simple primarily pizza place, but good. Vito's is certainly nothing fancy (you'll be eating with a plastic fork and knife) but compared to other comparable pizza like places or those somewhat fancier such Big Louie's, I prefer Vito's for taste, flavor, quality and freshness.

This is the second time I eat at Vito's, this time it's dine-in. This second time around, I decided to go off the traditional and ordered baked ravioli. Ravioli was pretty good. It was saucy and cheesy, like most people like their ravioli to be. It came with salad and three garlic rolls for $11.99 (dinner). Moving on to customer service- service was okay. When we were ordering our food we felt rushed, in a way. It was not the owner who took the order, but some other member of the kitchen staff who came off a bit rude. First, our food was not taken out to the table. However, all other guests food was. And secondly, I ate my food with plastic utensils while others were given silverware. For these reasons, I have rated Vito's 3 stars. Customer service matters more than anything else and I love to support local small businesses, but I will not be coming back.

The pizza is ok. Definitely better ingredients than other pizza chains. However they are slightly overpriced. I recommend possibly dining in. I ordered delivery and it took an HOUR to get to me and by the time it did, the food was cold. The fried raviolis didn't really seem "fried" ...and were also cold. On the plus side the garlic rolls were decent.

Tried a spinach calzone, wish the dough was not so heavy sauce was good. Gave two stars because this was my least favorite of all the calzones I have ever tried. Need to try other options, but based on the calzone, not sure I will return. Staff seemed friendly enough. Service was quick and easy.

EPIC! We have been visiting Fort Lauderdale for years and have struggled to find a good take out place. This one is great! We had calzones and the penne vodka. Great price for what you get. TONS of food.

Hit or miss Italian food/pizza joint. Used to be fantastic now mediocre from my last experience. Had ordered delivery for 7 years from these guys. They now charge to deliver even though I am 1000 feet away. They also raised their prices recently on lunches so I quit ordering delivery and gave Bella sera pizza and Umbertos a try instead. Main reason I left though is below.... If you dine in it is a hit or miss depending on who is cooking. I went in one night with 5 people who had never been and I had raved how good their pizza was from my 7 years experience having it delivered. We ditched Friday's next door and went to Vitos instead because of my recommendation. Ordered a large pepperoni for $20. It was just plain not good to be nice. Pizza is supposed to be crispy to the point you can bend it in half if you like, or hold it straight. What we received was something you could not even pick up. It was like dripping soup and mashed potatoes on bread. You needed a spoon to eat it. A spoon to eat a pizza? I notified the shift manger or whoever he was, and he even saw it and could tell it wasn't appealing. Instead of making us a new pizza they just put it back in the oven. It was already beyond fixing. Now it looked like a melted snowman. You couldn't even cut a slice. They just handed it to us the same way and didn't do anything to keep us happy and coming back. We had pre paid for it before it came out so we took a bite with a spoon (there was no other way to bite into it) all looked at each other and left 3/4 of it and went to Fridays. There was a lot of people and didn't want to make a scene to ask for my money back. It's a shame as I probably spent $3500 with them in 7 years. Over a $20 pizza they wouldn't remake, they lost another $3500 :( If I owned this place after seeing what was served I would have offered something. A free remake, half off the next one, whatever to keep a paying customer happy and returning. Little did they know I had been ordering delivery from them almost every week for 7 years. They Lost a customer until they do something different. I never put any place down as it is hard enough to earn a living today but when employees or managers don't care about their customers it's hard to feel sorry for them. If you have never been go and try it. When it is good it is good. I'll pass for a few months.

Half the rolls were good other half burnt, not sure how that happened. Pizza was 6 out of 10. Good but not great. I had a pepperoni pizza, the medium was huge and I paid $15 for the pizza and $3 for the rolls. All and all I would not order again but it was fun trying a new resturant. Delivery took 1hr 10min, kind of slow since they were 2.2 miles away. Pizza was room temperature

Two of the worst pizzas I have ever had. Overpriced cardboard! Prices on website were not the same as in the store. False advertising!

I've only had one pie here, but I will order it again and again - veggie combo. It has wonderful ricotta dollops with eggplant parm pieces, spinach, broccoli?? The ingredients tasted fresh - It was just perfect. Again, we have not eaten in or had anything else, but I love this pie.

You know when you walk into a small Italian restaurant and there is no hostess or anyone working the front and there is that awkward moment of "do I seat myself or wait to be seated?" and consequently you end up standing there like a r'tartd, gazing hopefully at any employee hoping they will offer an answer. You know those mother f*ers enjoy every second of awkwardness your experience. It's probably the highlight of their day. So this is how my lunch time escapade at Vito's began. After a minute or two, I just sat down at an empty table, which basically gave me the option of sitting anywhere in the place since it was nearly empty, minus one table of high school kids. I waited for someone to come over and give me a menu and it was about 5 minutes before someone came through the door, proceeded to order at the counter and then take a seat, setting an example of how it goes down here at Vito's. oooooo, I get it now. Well why didn't anyone freaking tell me?! Me and my dining guests were 3 of the 8 people in the restaurant, so it's not like the workers here were really super busy or possibly could have missed us as we walked in. So that whole thing pisses me off. How much energy and strain on your voice box would it take to just let me know to order at the counter and then sit anywhere? Once I figured out protocol, I ordered up my baked ziti from the lunch specials and my dining companions got a pizza to split with half cheese and half onion. The food came out in a timely manner and looked really good. The onion half of the pizza was covered! The baked ziti was just as it should be and very tasty. The pizza eaters did enjoy what Vito's cooked up, but said it needed some extra zing and added oregano and red pepper to the pie. The pizza was 17$ for the large with the one topping, which in my opinion is a tad on the high side. Baked ziti was $6.95 and came with garlic rolls. The services was fantastic!! This is probably because it is self service and I am fantastic... I clearly missed my calling to be a waitress. They have a soda fountain, so you get your own refills; plastic utensils are at the front, so you get your own silverware and napkins; and you box up your own leftovers. I didn't mind not having a waiter or waitress, you don't have to leave as much of a tip and you can get as many refills as you want. Not terrible. Overall, Vito's is a good place to stop for lunch.

This is my neighborhood spot for fast and delicious pizza and pasta. Their 17th Street location was my spot when I worked downtown. Lunch specials are offered, as well as a variety of salads and hoagies. Excellent eggplant options, including the classic parmigiana or add it to your pie. Lots of options loaded with veggie goodness. For dessert, indulge in a Cannoli or two or give the Tiramisu a try.

Went back for a pie and then a couple of slices a few months ago at the Federal locations and both times the pizza quality was lower...it's a shame-maybe their 17th st location is better than their Federal?? I don't know, but at least I found the Garlic Knot and they make great pizza consistently so far!!

  • Costa D.

Great selection of slices usually available without having to wait. Pasta is pretty good too, my favorite is spaghetti with meatballs. Good dessert too! The only item on the menu I wouldn't recommend are the salads, they are just not that great.

Quick delivery, ok pizza. Way over priced for what it was. The mozzarella sticks we're teeny-tiny, itty-bitty, and not good. Sauce tasted raw. AND the delivery guy harassed us for a good five minutes for EXTRA tip. He left, and came back and *would*not*leave* until we gave him more. We also thought he may not have been...sober. Very negative experience. 2 stars because the pizza was actually pretty good. Everything else was terrible. Would NEVER order from them again no matter how many coupons they pass out. Absolutely not.

Vito's pizza is about the worst I have ever had. Never again!!!!!! My 16 children and I were there just a week ago and we decided that the garlic rolls are not up to par. There pizza is like cardboard. The sauce is tasteless.

I wish I had the opportunity to base a review on their food- I never got that far. I called at 11:30 to find out how much it would cost to order enough pizza for 40 people at 5:30pm. He told me that they need 24 hour notice for any catering orders (I told him I would pick up the pizza since my office is RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET). I asked him how many pizzas it would take to feed 40 people and he was frustrated, telling me that he didn't know and was too bust with his lunch crowd to calculate that for me. I hope he gets much less busy- expecially when I tell the 400 employees in my office about this horrible experience.

GOOD GOD I love this place!!! I eat there several times a week these days. Every single dish I have had so far was delicious and it tastes very authentic, like you're in Italy! It is my favorite Italian place in South Florida and I like that the guys who work there are very professional and work super fast. I can recommend the garlic rolls, penne with vodka sauce and the baked ravioli. Amazing! good prices too. Gonna go there again tomorrow lol - yum!

I few days ago we picked up a pizza from Vito's. We went to pick it up as we wanted a fresh pizza. Over twenty minutes later, we took the garlic rolls, and pizza, and brought it home. Good thing for Vito's that we hadn't eaten all day! Instead of doing the right thing and making us a pizza, they took an old pepperoni pizza added spinach, and called it a night! For the record, pepperoni was not one of the toppings we ordered. The pepperoni was underneath all the other toppings. So it was blatantly obvious what they did. The garlic rolls were ok. The point is, due to there questionable morals, I will not be going back.

I Love this place! We have dined in, taken-out, and had it delivered and never once had a bad experience! The people are friendly, the service is fast, and the food is great! Their eggplant Pam and garlic rolls are to die for and their chicken wings are also very good. The pizza is amazing!!! Everything is always fresh! We eat here or have it delivered at least once a week!!! What can I say we LOVE this Place.

Best NYC style pizza in East Florida. Delicious slices, reasonably priced, and super quick service. The guys that work there are pretty funny, too! The cannoli is pricey but worth it, filled on the spot and just perfect!

  • Daisy P.

Good pizza and fast service. Like the previous reviewer, this is a self-service kind of place. You walk in, grab a menu from the front and place your order. They have some pre-made slice selection in a glass case (Sicilian, Plain, Chicken Parm, Meatball Parm, Spinaci with Ricotta, White Pie, Calzones, and Cannoli shells)... Within minutes your slices come out nice and hot and you refill your own drink. I also like their subs with the Focaccia bread. The personal pizzas seem to have the best dough/topping combination.

  • Maurice C.

I like their pizza a lot. It's essentially NY style pizza, but it has a crunchiness to it which is reminiscent of some of the Midwestern style pizzas that you get in places like Chicago and St Louis. I think the combination makes for a great pizza. I also like that they offer a wide variety of pizzas by the slice. I went with a slice each of the white pizza which has mozzarella, ricotta, and parmesan and the sausage & peppers pizza. Both were really good, especially the white pizza. They give you really big slices too which is nice. This is definitely one of the best pizza places in the area, if not the best.

Nice people. Decent food- we liked the pasta faggioli soup the best. clean & cheap. only a few tables inside. BellaBerry Yogurt next door. a cheap date.

I've been going here since living in Imperial Point - I can't believe I had not reviewed it yet. For pizza in SoFla, this is probably the best. There's the right balance between thin crust, sauce, cheese and toppings. The prices are good, and there are always coupons available in ClipperMagazine and the like. Everyone working there are always friendly. If you order for delivery, be prepared for a wait...or just go and pick it up yourself...the slow delivery is why Vito's only gets 4 stars.

By far, Vito's has one of my favorite pizza's of all time...the Barioni. It has a thin crust, chunky tomato sauce, pesto sauce swirled throughout, good cheese, and topped with pepperoni...it is awesome!! I have to say that the other location on the 17th street causeway does not make it the same way...they put the sauce on the side; just not the same. My husband and I like this pizza so much, we drive 25 minutes to pick it up because we are outside of the delivery area. Just a fabulous pizza!!

  • Gerardo O.

I've been this place's customer for quite a while now. They are my neighborhood pizza go-to guys. They have grown with the years, opening several locations, which I haven't tried, but this location has yet to disappoint me. My recommendation is the Spinaci pizza, followed by the Italian Supreme sandwich in Focaccia bread. It may not be perfect, but you can't go wrong with this place.

The best pizza in town! My experiences here are always good! Try the chicken parmesan sandwich on the focassia bread!! So good. They also make a great chicken parmesan and meatball pizza too!

I have been going to Vito's for years, since my high school was nearby. Their pizza is by far the best in Fort Lauderdale. You can always order by the slice, and their pizza is very thin and flavorful. The crust is great, and I usually don't like pizza crust. Their sicilian pizza is amazing as well, with generous sizes for their slices. It's worth the extra cost to order a pizza from here instead of a chain.

  • Lisa R.

I have been going to Vito's in Fort Lauderdale since 2000 and their pizza is delicious. Vito's is a great spot for lunch and take out. One of the great things about Vito's is you can buy pizza by the slice, which is perfect for one person. Try their Sicilian pizza...it is scrumptious!

I have been eating vito's pizza since I grew up in Rockland county NY. This isn't the same vitos. In fact, it was a horror show. To start we had calamari which has a hair fried into it and they didn't even apologize. I paid for it prior to getting the meal, so I never got a refund or asked. At least offer to exchange it. So we continued on with our meal. Out came our previously frozen eggplant dinners with spaghetti, even though my husband wanted ziti. The sauce tasted like Ragu. So, we dumped it in a take out box and gave it to a bum down the street. Really, this meal was pathetic. We will not return and we will spread the word. Vito, if your listening, you should teach your staff to treat the customers better, instead of just throwing out a piece of food with a hair. Oh and expect the health department to pay you a visit. They will be our next letter.

I had Vito's pizza for the first time and I have to say, I've had better. I got the 10 in. cheese pizza and my mom got a spinach calzone. It was ok. My pizza was fine. My crust was a little burnt which I don't have a big problem with. I also noticed that my pizza started to stiffen after the first few bites, but other than that it was fine. My mother got the spinach calzone. I am not a fan of having food with a lot of cheese, but my mom isn't. She was fine with it, but I was told that she has had a lot better. The people seem nice and friendly when we walked into the restaurant. I have to say that I am glad that we were able to come in get our food quickly. If I had to eat there again it would be fine, but I'd rather eat some place else.

Ordered a garbage pie and loved it. The cheese and onions on it really make it. I finished a small on my own. The delivery time was about 45 mins which to me is reasonable since we ordered two pizzas. Definitely recommend it!

Fantastic food. I have lived in South Florida for about 4 years and I've been to many different places. Pizza is great, as are the chicken parm and mozzarella sticks. Love this place!

My favorite pizza place!! I always order their "Old World Sicilian" with extra cheese and boy is it awesome!!! The dough is distinct in its flavor and always consistent. Their sauce is good, but not overpowering. The pizza ordered normally doesn't have the cheese amount I enjoy so I get extra cheese and it always comes out amazing! I almost always do pick up and it usually takes between 20-30mins. People are always friendly and accommodating. Overall a very enjoyable pizza! love it!

Have been here 2-3 times for lunch with co-workers. Pretty good stuff. Decent lunch special (2 big slices of specialty pizza + a drink for $6 or so). I am a fan of weird/specialty pizzas and they have some available for lunch that's really good. The chicken they use on their buffalo chicken and chicken/bacon/ranch pizzas is phenomenal. Big chunks of breaded dark meat chicken. I imagine they can potentially get kind of pricey for full pies but for a quick lunch that's easy on the wallet they're good.
